Admission Requirements
Plan ahead: read the requirements carefully and get in touch with us for an individual consultation!
All applicants must provide a general university entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung or HZB) valid in Germany.
- Applicants with a German (or equivalent) school leaving certificate need “allgemeine Hochschulreife”, such an “Abitur,” “Fachhochschulreife” or “fachgebundene Hochschulreife”
- Applicants with a non-German school leaving certificate can check their university entrance qualifications here.
Additionally, you must fulfil the following criteria:
Specific admission requirements for applicants with a German (or equivalent) university entrance qualification:
- English language certificate C1 (details here)
- Proof of a stay abroad for the duration of at least 3 months, after the age of 15
- An essay written in English illustrating the motivation for studying International Business & Leadership (max. 3000 characters)
- Application submitted on THM portal E-Campus (deadline: December 1st, 2026 until January 15th, 2027)
Specific admission requirements for applicants with a non-German university entrance qualification:
- English language certificate C1 (details here)
- German language certificate A1 (details here)
- TestAS results: paper-based test at least 95 points and digital test at least 75 points, in the core module and the subject module economics (details here)
- An essay written in English illustrating the motivation for studying International Business & Leadership (max. 3000 characters)
- Application submitted on Uni-Assist portal (deadline: October 1st until December 15th, 2026)
Application Process
Plan ahead: Follow the application procedures and make sure you don’t miss the deadlines!
Applicants who are interested in transferring from another university in Germany to THM are advised to contact the programme coordinator in advance.
- Submission of documents
Submit all required documents based on the deadline specific to your group. Depending on your university entrance qualification you can use E-Campus (December 1st, 2026 until January 15th, 2027) or Uni-Assist (October 1st until December 15th, 2026). - Interview
After reviewing your documents, we will notify you if you have been selected for an interview. You will receive an invitation to the interview via email. A list of topics to help you prepare for the interview will be provided at least two weeks in advance. - Admission
Applicants who pass the interview will be informed of the results no later than two weeks after the interview. Subsequently, they will receive all the information on the registration process at the university. - Enrolment at THM
The registration for summer semester at the THM is possible from December 1st to March 20th. We advise all students to start their registration process as soon as possible. - Semester Start
The semester begins on April 1st, 2027.
