Why IBL?
Study future-focused and beyond borders
in International Business & Leadership
International Business & Leadership (IBL) is a Bachelor of Science degree taught entirely in English. The students learn the core professional, personal and interdisciplinary competencies required for working in international business environments. The programme, in its content and methodology, emphasizes leadership skills and intercultural collaborations, aiming to equip the students with the knowledge and skills for successful careers as the next generation business leaders.
leadership isn't just taught, it's practised.

Students gain practical knowledge and skills by learning a second business language (German, Spanish, or Chinese) and completing internships. The teachers with professional experience in leading German companies and institutions provide intensive support throughout the programme and prepare the students for a future-proof career of their choice.
Gaining such expertise is also facilitated by international partnerships in Europe and beyond. The students are encouraged to take part in international mobility exchange programmes, gain hands-on knowledge by numerous company visits and excursions – which also contributes to regional and international networking possibilities and future job-seeking endeavours.

During their studies, the students remain connected in small classes and enjoy the local yet international community at THM. The structure of the programme enables the students to enjoy quality time with one another and the teachers, to bound over their interests, without losing the opportunity to focus on their own personal development. The programme aims to empower the students to take personal responsibility for their individual academic success and collective collaborations.

Over the course of seven semesters, students enhance their analytical and critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as their ethical awareness for responsible decision-making as next generation leaders in global business environments. They gain future-oriented, interdisciplinary skills in digital, transformative, and social collaboration. At the end of their studies, the students possess all the academic and professional skills required for a successful international career and/or for graduate studies.
